As the media is ignoring this, some one in Chile wrote an article and sent it to me to post.

THIS IS UNEDITED AND RAW FROM SOME ONE IN THE AREA

Trouble Hits Aysen Via Our man in Chile.Patagonia , Chile , South america.Since about two weeks people in Puerto Aysen , have been into a strike due high gas prices (abt 1100 CLP a liter thats about 2.28 USD per liter thats about 10.9USD per gallon) ,also they are facing poor healthcare due the lack of specialists , high wood prices, geographical isolation and a dam that will destroy the wonderful patagonian landscape . They managed to take the only bridge that leads to the town , the local airfield , and all the local ports , situation has turned worse in the last 10 days , looting has taken place , there is a food shortage in the area , and also there are no utilities , no power , no phone lines , no fuel due the blockage of the ports and the bridge , the goverment has sent the police special force to try to clear the bridge , there are reports that the police is using teargas , and steel ball shotgun ammo .

Also there is a unconfirmed report of military helicopters flying over the city , and that the local hospital has been taken over by the army and police , and they are arresting all the people that has gun injuries . There is a report that a police station has been attacked by angry villagers .

Meanwhile the left wing is trying to take advantage of the situation blamming the actual goverment and trying to team up with the villagers , the gov’t has managed the healthcare issues but power and energy are still an issue for the Aysen people .

I think this can very well be coming our way next. The fuel prices get to high and the trucking industry is going to shutdown. I urge everyone to conserve as much fuel as possible. The escalating tensions in the middle east may very well be the opening door to a life long series of wars over oil. If oil prices aren't pulled under control soon we are going to experience hyper inflation.
